John Taylor

At our monthly meeting on 3rd March, we have a talk / presentation by Jon Taylor. Jon is responsible for setting standards for all the IAM bike groups and carries out most of the bike senior observer tests in the south of England. He also co-wrote the very well-received IAM book "how to be a better rider" and has written articles for some of the bike monthly mags, such as Ride.

Jon has been riding bikes since 1967 and became a Police Class One rider in 1982. Motorcycles seem to flow in his blood. Among his highly impressive list of qualifications He was an Instructor on the Nurburgring for 10 years. He is a Staff Examiner for the IAM and an Examiner for RoSPA, He was the B.M.C.R.C open 500cc and Production 600cc Championship winner in 1987 including setting a new 600cc Production race record at Brands Hatch and winning the prestigious Sir Ben Ball Trophy for that year.
